Marketing became my passion through past roles at nonprofits, K-12 schools, local government, and AEC firms.
Having an education in psychology and studio art has provided a unique perspective on marketing strategy and revenue generation – whether that means writing a large grant, broadcasting a promotional video, or growing a brand on social media. I see multiple solutions to one challenge, and use my creativity as an asset for small businesses that seek energy from bringing people together to see success.
Firmwide mergers and acquisition communications: Served as internal/external chief communicator for the merger of two schools throughout the pandemic, as well as an acquisition of a legacy engineering firm in a polarized geographical market.
Large-scale fundraising: Solidified over $4M in grants and local donations to support financial assistance for students at a private school. This was completed through earmarked tax credit and traditional donation campaigns, fundraising events, and community partnerships.
In 2025, my second grade son expressed interest in becoming an author/illustrator.
After he finalized his first draft at a comic storyline with his own character, The Silly Spy, I agreed to help him create a brand and grow a comic series. Together, we are pairing his creativity and my branding know-how to build a website and learn how to establish a comic book publishing venture under his direction.
